Abstract

The rapid digitalization of economies and societies worldwide has necessitated robust legal frameworks to regulate cyberspace. Cyber law encompasses legal issues related to internet usage, digital communication, cybercrimes, data protection, privacy, and intellectual property. This paper explores the global scenario of cyber law, comparing legislation, institutional mechanisms, enforcement practices, and challenges across regions such as North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. It emphasizes the critical need for international cooperation to address transnational cyber threats and analyses key conventions like the Budapest Convention. The paper concludes with recommendations for harmonizing global cyber law standards to ensure security, privacy, and justice in the digital age.
