Abstract

Background: Life insurance laws often reflect cultural and societal norms, leading to significant gender disparities in coverage and benefits. Regions like the Middle East and Scandinavia present contrasting approaches to gender equality in insurance.
Objective: This study aims to compare life insurance laws in the Middle East and Scandinavia, analyzing how legal frameworks address or perpetuate gender disparities.
Methodology: The research employs a comparative analysis of legislative texts, policy documents, and insurance statistics. Surveys and interviews with policyholders provide insights into consumer experiences.
Findings: In Scandinavia, progressive legal frameworks ensure gender-neutral policies, promoting equality in premiums and benefits. Conversely, traditional norms in the Middle East influence life insurance laws, resulting in disparities.
