The Effects of Urbanization on Biodiversity: A Case Study of France and Indonesia
Main Article Content
Abstract
Rapid urbanization has significant consequences for biodiversity, affecting ecosystems, wildlife populations, and environmental sustainability. This study examines the effects of urban expansion on biodiversity in France and Indonesia, analyzing land-use changes, deforestation, and habitat loss. The research evaluates conservation strategies, including green urban planning, wildlife protection policies, and ecosystem restoration efforts. Findings indicate that while urban growth presents ecological challenges, integrating biodiversity conservation into urban planning can mitigate negative impacts. The study recommends policies for promoting sustainable urban development while preserving natural ecosystems.
